Armenian Conference Interpreters Association: Panel Discussion Takes Place at Matenadaran

On September 30, at 7:30 PM, a panel discussion titled “Interpreters as Trusted Voices in a Changing World” will take place at the “Hrachya Tamrazyan” Hall of the Matenadaran – Scientific Building of Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts on the occasion of International Translation Day.
The panel discussion will feature Françoise Jacob, UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, EU Ambassador to Armenia, Davit Khachaturyan, Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, and Artashes Emin and Lilit Simonyan, member interpreters of the Armenian Conference Interpreters Association.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Social Impact Expert and Literary translator Nazareth Seferian.
Guests will include representatives from local and international organizations and the diplomatic corps.
Last year on the same date, September 30th, the Armenian Conference Interpreters Association hosted an exclusive event at the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum in Yerevan to celebrate International Translation Day. ACIA member interpreters Khachatur Adumyan, Kristine Soghikyan, Vladimir Ter-Ghazaryan, and Fenya Yepremyan joined the panel discussion titled “The Polyphony of Translation: Exploring the Interpreter’s Role.”
